The Rat Mayor

Only about a year after Jeremy's $750,000 Waikiki beautification project, Kuhio Beach Park in Waikiki was crawling with rats! Local residents who complained about the problem were ignored by the Harris administration. Even the state department of health got nowhere with the city. Finally, a frustrated Waikiki resident convinced a TV station to bring their cameras to Waikiki and film the rats for the evening news. When Jeremy heard there would be TV cameras, he raced to Waikiki. When he arrived on the scene, one of the scampering rats reportedly crawled up his leg. Sometimes justice is poetic.
